About Us — Home Invest Kids
About us

We believe every kid can learn to build.

Home Invest Kids is a nonprofit that teaches real-world money skills — earning, saving, budgeting, and starting small businesses — through hands-on programs kids actually love.

Our mission

Financial confidence, one kid at a time

Most adults wish they'd learned about money earlier. We're making sure the next generation doesn't have to say that. Every workshop, market day, and mentor session is built around one idea: kids learn best by doing real things with real stakes.

Confidence

Kids who earn their first dollar stand a little taller. We create dozens of those moments.

Curiosity

Questions first, lectures second. Every session starts with what kids want to know.

Community

Parents, mentors, and local businesses all pitch in. It takes a village to raise an entrepreneur.

Generosity

The third jar is "share." Every kid learns that money is also a tool for helping others.

Our story

From one lemonade stand to a growing community

  1. 2019 — The first stand

A handful of parents helped ten kids run a neighborhood market day. Every kid went home with profit — and a plan for it.

  2. 2022 — Becoming a nonprofit

Demand from schools and libraries turned a weekend project into a registered 501(c)(3) with a real curriculum.

  3. Today — 1,200+ kids and counting

Programs run with local hosts and community leaders, powered by 12 volunteer mentors and families who believe in learning by doing.
